What Is Botox?
Botox, is the brand name, also known as botulinum neurotoxin. Botox, or any other neurotoxin works by temporarily paralyzing or weakening the muscles. It is best used for areas where there is facial expression such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and the “11’s” between your eyebrows. The Botox will start to kick in 2-10 days after it has been injected and it all depends on you and which product is used. What Are Fillers?
Fillers are a gel like product that aims to fill folds and creases and gain back lost volume in your overall facial appearance. Fillers can be a permanent or temporary use, depending on the product. Botox and fillers are commonly used together but both have widely different uses in this practice. Fillers aim to target more under the eye, cheeks, and the jawline. Lines of expression need Botox, lines at rest need fillers, basic rule of thumb.
