LUMECCA

What Is LUMECCA?

Lumecca is a breakthrough intense pulsed light (IPL) that delivers up to 3X more energy in the 500-600 nm range to improve efficacy for vascular and pigmented lesions. It is optimized to treat a variety of lesions with fewer sessions. There are many, many IPL devices in the same categories as Lumecca IPL such as: BBL, Max G, Limelight and ELOS. However, Lumecca is the strongest and safest IPL on the market. It was created by the original inventor of the IPL – Dr. Michael Kriendel who holds more patents in this space than any other individual. Dr. Kriendel is the CTO and lead scientist for InMode.

What Does Lumecca IPL Treat?

For patients looking to address facial pigmentation, superficial vessels, skin and/ or photodamage, IPL is the optimal solution. IPL Treatments improve skin complexion, reduce skin irregularities, and helps patients look years younger. IPL “photofacial” helps address age spots (red/brown pigmentation), sun damage, vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, leg telangiectasias), rosacea and freckles. Lumecca IPL can also treat acne and surgical scars.

How Does Lumecca IPL Treats Vascular Issues?

Lumecca delivers precise pulses of high-intensity light that target red and blue pigments
in broken capillaries, spider veins, and other vascular lesions. The light energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, which causes them to heat up and collapse without damaging the surrounding skin. Over time, the body naturally clears these vessels, leading to a clearer, more even complexion.

How Does Lumecca IPL Treat Surgical Scars?

Lumecca IPL can be an effective treatment for improving the appearance of surgical scars. It works by delivering intense pulsed light to the skin, which helps reduce scar redness, pigmentation, and texture irregularities. This treatment stimulates collagen production, leading to smoother and more even-toned skin over time. Lumecca IPL is suitable for various surgical scars, including those from procedures like facelifts, breast surgeries, abdominoplasties, and mole removals. Typically, a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
